The Hanford Reach Interpretive Center wants to see the REACH through your eyes! We are seeking photo submissions from area high school students involved with photography. Submit your photos that celebrate the Hanford Reach National Monument, the Columbia River and the local, natural environment. The top six photos will be turned into postcards for our “Postcards from the REACH” project. The project will showcase images depicting different topics and themes in a series of postcards that will be available to the public by donation. The final photographs selected will also be enlarged and put on display on in our office and the completed Hanford Reach Interpretive Center, slated to open in Summer of 2014.
The photographers’ of the chosen six photographs will each be awarded a cash prize! All winners and participants will be invited to our awards reception on Friday, April 19th, 2013 at the Richland Public Library 6pm to 8pm.
All photo entries will be on display from Friday, April 19th to Saturday, April 20th during the Expressions of REACH Educational Showcase; a two-day temporary exhibition held at the Richland Public Library featuring exhibits centered on the themes of the Hanford Reach Interpretive Center created by local students.
