FIELD TRIPS TO THE REACH

A visit to The REACH brings the history and science of the Mid-Columbia Region to life for students!

The REACH exhibits the unique landscape and history of the Columbia Basin. The curriculum developed by REACH Educators follows these themes and aligns with current school standards. Teachers have the option of a guided or self-guided trip for their school group.

We offer a variety of hands-on activities through guided and self-guided trips.

GUIDED Field Trips

We offer guided field trips throughout The REACH that include an interactive educational program (choose one from “Courses and Tributaries”), plus time to explore the museum.  An educator or docent will be with your group for the entirety of the visit.  Plan on 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Pricing for Guided Field Trips:

K-12 guided field trips are $150 per group of 12 up to 30 students.

Pre-K guided field trips are $85 per group of 12 up to 30 students.

Teachers and adult chaperones receive free admission, and we ask that for every 7 students, there is one assigned adult chaperone.

SELF-GUIDED Field Trips

If you would prefer to conduct a self-guided field trip to The REACH, schools and/or camp groups are welcomed to explore the museum exhibits and grounds.  We have a Scavenger Hunt worksheets availalbe to help students engage with our exhibits. Plan for at an least an hour for the visit.
